SLUDGE THICKENER

Thickening or densification process is the first step of sludge treatment for moisture reduction. This process enables a reduction of 5% of the moisture contained, resulting in a significant reduction of the volume of material to be treated, with a substantial decrease in size in the various phases and a significant saving of investment costs. In the treatment of water, the line of sludge, therefore, takes on a great importance. It is therefore necessary to thicken the sludge before sending it to the subsequent treatments.
